IdScore — Building platform to reach Indonesia market to check their credit scores
The product designed for the general public to check their individual credit score and view their credit history

To reach the general public across Indonesia, how might we create a platform that is easy to use and accessible even for people who are not tech-savvy and older users

As a solo designer, I lead the design process to creates and reviews website designs that are user-friendly, responsive, and clear. Identify design needs, set up standard UI elements, create web structure, and mapping user flows

Context
The services is to help customers manage credit risk by using credit information based on data such as profiles, debtor characteristics, credit scores, and SLIK data (or credit history reports)

A credit score measures creditworthiness, financial reputation, and data accuracy while providing insights into risk profiles for financial institutions. It can also be used to plan financial services like KPR, KPM, education, and other needs

The current condition is users had to access manually or visit it through regulators with a process that took days and only received standard historical credit report information, without a credit score


Discovery
Our goal is to reach individual customers across Indonesia, we offer services using a website platform, for faster processing and more efficient market reach

Based on team market research, we converted data into personas to summarize their needs and describe the key points so we can understand our target users and have a relevant problem background

By doing this, we gain direction and highlight for the design, valuable insights, and the ability to identify areas of opportunity to solve their problems effectively


What to solve
Build a simple platform to reach the general public across Indonesia to check their financial reputation and credit score easily. It should be familiar, clear designs to help them use the product without complicated steps

We understanding and ideate how the user interacts from start to finish to get their credit score and hook the user to keep using our product regularly


Designing structure
The goal is to guide users using the product by displaying relevant information. We decided to organize, structure, and where is information is displayed clearly

After we get the information structure, we create a visual representation of the organization of the products and demonstrate the navigation between the pages

To get the service of the products, user must fill out the many form, and doing e-kyc. We know, that designing forms is the worst best job in the world. But, designing form makes other people’s easier

So we take the forms we present to users seriously—they need to be intuitive and easier to fill out. Our approach is to understanding user tasks in a product—then, make it simple, categorized, and concise


Design evaluation and iteration
We started designing the first iteration with high fidelity, and after finishing we decided to evaluate our design before slice into code

We used heuristic evaluation, the goal is to identify, validate, and measure how usable a user interface is. We conduct with four peer leaders in every department

Based on heuristic evaluation, the principle of 5/10 is not qualified. There are several areas that can be improved and simplified, such as displaying the visibility of the status score submission report on the dashboard, simplifying the layout for consistency in mobile views, and reducing the complexity of the layout design

We improved the design by showing active subscriptions on the dashboard and current submission status in the history. This makes it easier for users to find information and see their status clearly

Simplifying the navigation and layout, making it cleaner, easier to use, and more responsive for everyone.

We added shortcuts to help users continue their submission without having to fill in the same information again and again

Retrospective
The design looks clear and easy to understand at first glance, but we need to double-check this with real users. Since this sprint focuses on achieving the MVP, we aim to uncover usability problem, responsiveness across different devices, more professional interface, accessibility like color contrast, and typography sizing in the next phase to ensure a great user experience and build trust in our product
